Burgeaux Beach and Cupecoy

Burgeaux beach is along the coast from the long stretch of Simpson Bay and the rocks of "Pointe Burgeaux" lies the small stony cove of a beach. I'm not sure if it was just this particular  day, but the beach was deserted. We took one look at it and thought it was a sad looking beach and too rocky. I heard that it can be popular with surfers but none were in sight, we snapped some pics and went on to then next beach on the list.

You have to drive by Maho beach to get to Burgeaux, this plane just happened to be landing so I snapped this pic from our car.

Cupecoy is nestled at the foot of beautiful ochre-coloured cliffs. Cupecoy is a succession of small beaches, separated by the rocks. The path to get to the beaches is on top of a small cliff. The sunsets are breathtaking, and we were lucky to catch one this time.

These two pictures below crack me up. It epitomizes their personalities and relationship perfectly.

We found our own little natural infinity pool. The kids played in here for hours.

We walked further down and found some decent cliffs to jump off. Monty can be quite daring, and well the kids want to be just like Dad, so they joined in on the fun.

We had to head back to our own little pool and watch the sunset.

  1. I love all your beach hopping! I totally wish we could visit you while you are there, but I think you will be gone by the time we got it together enough to go. Time passes so fast. You should get a underwater camera before you go.

  2. BTW I was at soccer, and I saw a guy that looked SO much like Monty. I gave a big smile with a nice big "hello" without thinking, and even as I said hello I realized it couldn't be Monty, and then I felt sheepish.
