We had such an amazing three weeks vacation together as a family, I feel rested, rejuvenated and pretty tanned. Life is back to normal as we know it. Which includes, homeschool, preschool, pool dates, beach dates, library dates, plays dates and so on.. My kids are not going to know what to with themselves when we go home. They have been surrounded by such awesome friends out here.
The fact that this is our last semester in St. Maarten is pretty exciting, I have mixed emotions about going home, but I know I will be ready when August comes. Monty is in full swing with his studies and being SGA president. He wrote a comprehensive exam the first week back, similar to the one he will write before we leave in August, and did pretty well. His hard work is definitely paying off and we are so proud of him.
We welcomed a new family to the island, the Barretts'. They are from provo and our attending AUC. They have two cute, cute little girls Halle 4 and Dylan 7 months. We are excited they are here and even though we are leaving soon, the kids and I have had fun playing and getting to know them.
So my beautiful friend, Arielle (unfortunately I don't have a picture of her but you can check her out on her awesome blog
here) lives at the Rainbow Beach Resort in Cupecoy and from what I've seen of the island, it's probably one of the top places to live. She kindly invited all of us moms and kids to her pool one day. We were a sight for sore eyes, I think there were 9 kids in total.
Yes, that is the staircase to the resorts own private beach.
