Back to Canada...

I came to the Caribbean thinking that we would be here for the 20 months before returning to Canada but, when my sister became engaged I knew I couldn't miss it. With Monty's busy schedule I wasn't sure if I would be able to make it though, and the cost with the kids would be too much for our student budget. We were so grateful when my parents offered to pay for the kids flights so we all could come back and enjoy the wedding and a two week visit with friends and family.

On our way to the airport, we are just a little excited!

My sillies

The waiting begins

Ready to fly... These two were amazing travellers and I would do it again!

They slept like this for five hours on the way there and 10 hours on the way back, I could not feel my behind after!

We flew into Vancouver, and my brother picked us up, since it was the middle of the night the kids transferred well and went straight to bed when we got to my brothers house. They were so excited to see their cousins, Sadie and Gerrad int he morning.

Time for some mini golf

A little nervous about her first time skating

She loved skating and can't wait to go again.

We had such a great time playing and exploring with the Hitchmough cousins, thanks for having us.

The wedding... Gill and Duncan got married at Stanley Park on October 5, 2013. My dad was able to preform the ceremony. It was a beautiful ceremony, and  I am so glad that I didn't miss it.

Yes, these beauties are my nieces and nephews. I can't believe how big they are!

So I obviously didn't get the memo to wear black;) It was so great catching up with my family,  I miss these guys.

The beautiful mother of the bride;)

Two cute men...

Gill was a stunning bride

My sister Pam, doesn't she look amazing?

Pretty lucky to sit next to one of my oldest friends. Love you Bea.

Hailey and I on the dance floor. Yeah, she's only 12:)

Love her...

Dad and Rachel cutting a rug... I have to admit I let loose and had a great time dancing.

I had such a fun time at your wedding Gill and Duncan, Congratulations!

The next day at brunch. Beautiful downtown Vancouver in the background.

Off to Grandma and Grandpa Hitchmough's!

Did I mention that I was freezing the whole time I was home, I basically had permanent  goosebumps:) And look how gorgeous the weather was when I was there. The kids didn't seem bothered by the climate change and loved being outside. We spent a lot of time outside playing at a bunch of different parks. St. Maarten has about two. I did notice a huge difference in the quality of air, St. Maarten feels very stuffy too me, and I think the extreme heat of October had a lot to do with it, where BC felt so crisp and fresh.

Victoria Petting zoo, a favourite.

Nothing says fall like a big pile of crispy leaves :)

Always love grandma's big bath tub

Fun cousin time...

Everett is a pro

Krysten loved watching her cousins play and is ready to start lessons.

Thanksgiving morning walk

I love the beauty of fall

Papa Sala and Grandma Charlette made a trip down and spent a couple days with us too! We sure are lucky to have both Grandparents so close to each other.

Happy Thanksgiving!
On Thanksgiving Monday we headed back over to Vancouver. Jen picked us up and we got to spend the day with Emma and Nathan. The kids had a blast jumping on the trampoline and they loved the Laity pumpkin patch before flying out that night.

Did I mention that I have the best family, because I do. I feel so incredibly blessed to have these amazing people in my life. As you can see we had a great visit. By the end of the two weeks we were ready to head back to Monty  and our sunny life.
