An open petting zoo!

Monty and I are always joking about Statia being an open petting zoo. Animals roam around here freely, from chickens to goats, donkeys and cows. We can drive to see the only horse on the island which my kids have named "Brownie" they love to feed him grass after dinner. We go to see a pen full of the biggest pigs I've ever seen and their squealing piglets. The kids love to see the newborn chicks following closely behind their mother hen. And if a little lizard sneaks its way into our house Krysten is begging to keep it as a pet and so I let her for a little bit before releasing the frightened reptile who may or may not have ended up with a shorter tail. Who needs a zoo?

  1. That is so neat! I couldn't say no to those big blue Krysten eyes!! It would be our pet for sure!
